You will be responsible for contributing to maintaining and enhancing our PLM infrastructure and support the software tools used by our design and analyses engineers. You will provide CAD application support, data management and develop the processes required by design for a finished component. This includes supporting various CAD applications and the vast infrastructure supporting them.

The PLM administrator engineer should have an engineering background and a working knowledge of several engineering software packages. In addition, they are versed in systems administrations and ideally, the successful candidate has a background in administering and using Siemens PLM NX CAD in a TeamCenter environment.

We have several software applications and system interfaces and your PLM knowledge and experience will be essential to optimize the user experience and the efficiency of our engineering workflows.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to efforts in our PLM infrastructure, CAD application support, data management and the workflow required from design to finished component.
  • Security administration of new user or group permissions.
  • BMIDE creation and maintenance.
  • Support PLM installations, creation of templates, and custom symbols.
  • Help IT deploy and maintain various servers in a virtualized infrastructure once trained in the procedure.
  • Participate in the development, modification, and implementation of new or existing software and/or hardware solutions.
  • Help implement software functionality improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in work output.
  • Conduct training and ongoing support on PDM & CAD application to new and existing personnel.
  • Manage Help Ticket logging and remediation.
  • Work with other members of the PLM leadership group to streamline and customize our engineer's PLM experience.
  • Help determine and develop mechanisms for integrating third-party applications within our PLM systems.
  • Contribute to standards and quality assurance documentation, parameterize document and drawing templates, assist IT with maintaining Engineering's large server infrastructure.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Experience with Siemens PLM NX, Teamcenter BMIDE, and Mentor Graphics and their usage.
  • Experience using, upgrading, and developing workflows in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) System.
  • Experience with PLM system management through operations, workflows, part structures, downstream BOMs, visualization generation & management.
  • Experience performing in a team atmosphere involving multi-discipline personnel.
  • Experience managing servers and services to maximize uptime.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with multiple PLM tools (SolidWorks, ProE, Windchill, Enovia, etc.) and their usage.
  • Experience managing electrical engineering documents in PLM.
  • Development and maintenance of PLM part libraries.
  • Experience in Requirements Management solutions.



  • This position is planned temporary for 12 months with potential for permanency.
  • Full-time, M-F, exempt from overtime pay.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
