Job Description:

Design and execute the first national electric airplane charging strategy in the world for the eFlyer family of aircraft.  This position reports to VP of Strategy and Business Development and requires creativity and autonomy.  The position will also support other business development projects, as applicable.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Establish and execute a U.S. and an international airplane charging roll-out strategy.
  • Stakeholders: Identify, call, contact, and establish relationships with applicable stakeholders below:
    1. States' Department of Transportation Aeronautics divisions, FAA, local Airport Authorities, Fixed Based Operators, Charging Operators, Charging Hardware and Software Providers, Flights Schools, and Fleet Operators.
    2. Be the face of Bye Aerospace with these important stakeholders
  • Implementation & Materials: Organize and develop roll-out scenario plans and create presentation material for company leadership, customer, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Engineering: Confer with engineering & design teams to ensure charging requirements are integrated into the overall strategy
  • Other: Assist with market research, financial and scenario modeling, and presentations


Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in one of the following:
    1. General aviation or aerospace operations
    2. Electric vehicle charging networks
  • Positive can-do attitude that makes things happen.
  • Work autonomously with little oversight and does not get stalled waiting for instructions.
  • Ability to see the big picture, but can focus on executing detailed steps to achieve the larger goal.
  • Four-year degree in engineering, strategy, business, or related field.
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in general aviation or aviation operations.
  • Experience working with electric vehicle charging networks.
  • Experience working with airport authorities.
  • Experience working with government policy makers.
  • MBA or other advance degree that brings value to the position.
  • Private pilot's license.


Other Considerations:

  • Domestic travel up to 25 % may be required.
  • Work hour flexibility to accommodate international conference calls and business hours.
